DESCRIPTION:Hike 2024 is a wrap and our hearts are full!  $34\,600 raised by our caring community! \nThe generosity of our local community is overwhelming. At a time when the news of the world is about conflict and chaos\, we had an event that was\, simply put\, a day of BIG LOVE. \nThank you The Kentville Lions Club\, East Coast Refrigeration\, Rewind 89.3\, RBC Berwick\, Gerry Davis\, VHF Board\, and all who volunteered. Thanks especially to all of who came to hike individually or in one of 24 teams – in memory of family\, friends\, colleagues\, patients\, and this incredible caring community. \nHere is our highlight video:  Hike 2024 .   So much fun! \n  \n                 \nMay 5\, 2024\nKentville Lions Hall\, 78 River Street\, Kentville\, NS\n1 – 2 pm –  Hikers Check-In at the Lions Hall\n                 – BBQ/Live music/T-shirts/Ice-Cream\n2 pm – 5km Group Hike  (Harvest Moon Trail)  \nThe Hike for Hospice is a special day that enhances a sense of community\, increases awareness and raises funds for Valley Hospice and Annapolis Valley Palliative Care. \nValley Hospice Foundation raises funds to assist with care across the continuum of hospice and palliative care\,  from diagnosis through end-of-life\, including bereavement support and care for families and loved ones.\nComing together to remember someone special and to honour our personal connections to hospice and palliative care is at the heart of the Hike.  \n\nWhen good people come together for a good cause\, the possibilities are endless.  Thank you for your support! \n\nPhoto credit: Richard Stern
