2026 Hike for Hospice & Palliative Care!

The Hike for Hospice will be taking place at the Coldbrook & District Lions Club – 1416 S Bishop Rd, Coldbrook, NS

This year marks the 14th year of our community coming together to raise funds and to celebrate the compassionate care that Valley Hospice, Annapolis Valley Palliative Care and other care teams provide to those experiencing life-limiting illness, end-of-life, and bereavement.

New for 2026, the Hike is fundraising with a clear goal: Helping purchase two cuddle beds for Valley Hospice. A cuddle bed is designed for palliative care and is certified for use by two people, helping make it possible for a loved one to lie safely beside a patient and offering closeness, comfort, and connection when time is precious.

How to Take Part

  • Register as an individual, join or form a team, or make your hike virtual from any location.
  • There is no registration fee. We encourage you to fundraise or donate to support Valley Hospice Foundation.
  • There are two distances for the hike: 5 km or 3 km. Choose a distance that works for you.

Who Will You Hike For?

Many hikers walk in memory of someone special, or to honour a personal connection to hospice and palliative care in the Annapolis Valley. Being together in community is at the heart of the Hike for Valley Hospice & Palliative Care.

Not hiking? Join us anyway – arrive around 1:00 p.m. for music and social time, and cheer on our hikers at 2:00 p.m. as they head out.
