On Sunday, May 7, the Valley’s Hike for Hospice returns for the 11th year of coming together to raise funds, and to recognize the importance of hospice and palliative care in the Annapolis Valley.

Donate to the Hike

 

Hike day features a group hike (walk) along the beautiful Harvest Moon Trail and around Miners Marsh.

We get started at 1 pm with live music and bbq at the Kentville Lions Hall.  All Hikers are asked to check in at the Lions Hall between 1 – 2 pm.

The group hike (walk) gets underway at 2 pm.

 

 

 

 

Form a team, join as an individual hiker, or make your hike virtual. 

There is no registration fee to participate but we encourage participants to raise funds or make a donation to Valley Hospice Foundation.

The route is accessible for anyone comfortable walking 5 km and hikers may choose a shorter route or to walk from home or a place that suits you!

Who will you Hike for on May 7th?

Being together to remember someone special and to honour our personal connections to hospice and palliative care is at the heart of the Hike for Valley Hospice & Palliative Care.

Even if you don’t plan to hike, please stop by at 1pm at the Kentville Lions Hall for social time and enjoy the music.  You can also cheer on our hikers as they head out at 2 pm.

May 7 marks the beginning of National Hospice Palliative Care week in Canada.  It is a special day when the Valley joins other communities across Canada to hike and support Hospice and Palliative Care programs.
