Nancy Henry

“Nancy Henry was a well-known and well-loved member of the valley community.  She donated her time and efforts to so many endeavors, including Fidelis House, Town of Kentville events (like the Holly Days Festival and Multicultural Fair), and to CentreStage Theatre.  At CentreStage she was involved in every aspect of theatre life; on stage, backstage, directing from in front of the stage, lighting the stage…you name it.  She also had a huge role in our youth theatre camps to help children become confident on stage.  The photo (attached) is from the Holly Days Festival a few years ago, when Nancy and I dressed up as old-time carollers, with no other purpose than to spread cheer…just the sort of thing Nancy would excel at. When we lost Nancy to cancer, we were heartbroken, but grateful that her last days were in the comforting and supportive environment of the Valley Hospice.  Since October (fall) was her favourite time of year, during the theatre’s production of Blithe Spirit this October, CentreStage gathered its proceeds from the October 50:50 draws to donate to the Valley Hospice, in memory of Nancy and her joyous and unforgettable spirit. Many patrons chipped in to add their thanks.

We miss you Nancy and will never forget you. “
